Today Nadine Dorries said she’s concerned about pressures β€œon the wallets of hardworking households”. Nadine voted for: πŸ”¨ A personal allowance freeze. πŸ”¨ A public sector pay freeze. πŸ”¨ A National Insurance rise. πŸ”¨ A Universal Credit cut. πŸ”¨ A council tax hike. Shameless.

Please please please don’t keep equating tax rises with bad. We need taxes to run the country. Equate diverting public money to private hands with bad.

I think she is pointing out that Dorries voted against measures that could help those who typically have lower disposable income - and yet Dorries claims her vendetta against the BBC is because she wants to help those same people.

You can add voting against cutting VAT from fuel bills to that list as well πŸ˜„

You also forgot she voted against lowering VAT on fuel bills..which would have helped struggling families more than a paltry 50p a week. #NadineDorries
