And my Congressional colleagues & fellow abortion freedom fighters @CoriBush, @PramilaJayapal & @BLeeForCongress, who stood in their power sharing their lived experiences before Congress & the world.

And the millions of people who've come forward: thank you for your storytelling and for creating space for others to do the same. I look forward to a day where people no longer have to relive their trauma in order to advance justice.

And to the advocates who have organized, mobilized & fought back against the relentless attacks on our reproductive rights & freedoms: We won't stop fighting to pass my #WHPA, repeal #Hyde & affirm abortion care as the human right that it is. I'm proud to fight alongside you.

Please keep fighting -
#RoeVWade not only guarantees the legal right to abortion, but protects DC in particular. If overturned, a future Republican Congress could ban abortions in DC completely. Today, on the 49th anniversary of Roe, we must recognize its significance while pushing to codify it.
