As the county board prepares to transition to in person meetings, first things first- we need to get this office together with some District 4 art on the walls! The style of this generous portrait is the vibe.

Let’s walk together. Yesterday we celebrated the groundbreaking at Bimosedaa along with funders, partners & elected officials. These 48 deeply affordable homes with onsite services are a result of people & organizations coming together with a common purpose: To end homelessness.

I am grateful when collaboration brings forth new, *quality* deeply affordable housing that comes with supportive services. Today we broke ground for Bimosedaa housing at 16 North 4th Street. This space is reserved specifically for residents who are experiencing homelessness.

Earth Day 🌎 Water, air, and sustainable food growth is life. In addition to being mindful of how we consume and how we dispose of what we consume, keep up with us the larger environmental justice fight within institutions that hold great power over these sources of life.

A powerful story almost identical to my own. Thank you for this work and sharing why you do it! Find how to support in the thread 👇🏾
I was 20 years old and 8 months pregnant when I first went into to the Hennepin county human services department to try and get assistance for me and my coming baby. I will never forget my experience. It was the most humiliating thing I've ever went through. (1/6)
