I arrived back home safely from Ukraine yesterday. I went on a humanitarian mission with @MedGlobalOrg who were supporting hospitals to prepare for the darkest days of this conflict.
We worked with the most amazing people and met patients with the most heart-breaking stories.

I want to thank @michaelaj1976 at @MHMWales in #Bridgend for helping me open up about having anorexia nervosa when I was a teenager. You made me feel safe and seen and not like a freak.
I wish Iโd had you when I was 14. I want others to have #mentalhealth services like yours!
The Labour MS, @sarah4bridgend, has emotionally opened up in the Welsh Parliament about being โdays awayโ from being sent to an adult psychiatric ward when she was 14yo with anorexia nervosa.

"We are seeing the mental health impact, the physical impact and my fear is that we're not even in winter yet"
@DrRosena tells @Peston she is already seeing the impact of the cost of living crisis on shift in A&E

Tory MPs are in dreamland if they think they can cook proper 30p meals.
Once factoring in the cost of store cupboard ingredients, veg and using the hob or oven, thereโs no way a healthy, nutritious meal can regularly be produced for that price.

Forget Tory MPs going for photo opportunities at foodbanks, how about they take responsibility for the high rise in Foodbank use and do something about the sky-rocketing levels of poverty across the country.
John Whittingdale Tory MP defending the 30p meals MP Lee Anderson & Peston jumping in saying he visits foodbanks, he must be a good guy ๐คฏ
@DrRosena didnโt have any of it though
โPhoto opportunities at foodbanks doesnโt make you a good guyโ

#peston#CostOfLivingCrisis
The cost of living crisis is having a damaging impact on mental health. People worried about bills, hiding stress from loved ones, not eating properly and living in cold homes.
At every stage, the Govt has refused to take meaningful action.

I know there are many families in our community who are finding it difficult to make ends meet.
They will be so disappointed to hear the comments of certain Tory MPs.

Ed Miliband rips into Rishi Sunak over a windfall tax. ๐ฅ
"The dude from Silicon Valley blames the IT system for the massive cuts to benefits... it's all turned out to be one giant Ponzi scheme"
Tonight, I voted for a Windfall Tax on oil and gas producers. The Tory Government voted against our proposal.
At a time of rising fuel bills, this would have saved families hundreds of pounds.
