Appreciate this interview between @marclamonthill and @saharazizlaw. As Sahar points out, anti-Muslim rhetoric may be nastier and more blatant than it's ever been, but it's not anything new in American politics. It's been a cornerstone of Republican talking points for decades.

I am reading Guha's "History of India After Ghandi." Good to read not only out history, but history in other lands, to see how quickly such bigotry/communalism/racism, can become so violent.
