Signs of the monster west coast ridge shifting over AK by the end of January. Maybe our first shot at decent CA precipitation in 3 weeks before the start of February. Stay tuned.

It’s funny how scientists were calling for a warmer winter due to el Nina … and the Farmers Almanac predicted differently. I think we need to decolonize ASAP.

Only problem is ECMWF and ensembles do not show any real tropical forcing and no real support from the MJO, which is what help rev up the east Asian jet and propagate from the western Pac. eastward to the central west coast.

also lose the hudson bay low and replace it with ridging. So west coast ridge isn't the only avenue.

All sorts of blooms here in Southern Oregon that we shouldn’t be having. Wall to wall sunshine and temps in the mid to upper 50s for over two weeks now. Nice but we need a change!
