If you’re ready to join a Space, you can listen on Android, iOS, and web. If you want to host, co-host, speak, react with emojis, or discover Spaces from the Spaces tab (English only for now) tap in on Android or iOS.
First, what is Spaces? It’s a way to have live audio conversations on Twitter.
You can create your own Spaces and host a conversation with other co-hosts and invite speakers. Or you can join in as a listener. (2/7)
What’s that Space bar at the top of Home? It shows Spaces that people you follow are speaking in/listening to. Tap in to join or scroll down on the TL to dismiss the bar.
Choose who can see your Spaces listening activity from Settings & privacy > Privacy & safety > Spaces
Spaces let you be a part of live audio conversations, from anywhere. To help you discover popular Spaces from around the world and search for ones about your interests, we’re testing a Spaces tab –– available on Android and iOS in English only for now.
We’ve been continuously working to combat spammy &
duplicative content on Twitter at scale and our new Copypasta and Duplicate Content policy clarifies what constitutes a violation along with what happens when it is violated.

We’ve seen an increase in ‘copypasta,’ an attempt by many accounts to copy, paste, and Tweet the same phrase. 🍝🔁
When we see this behavior, we may limit the visibility of the Tweets. help.twitter.com/en/safety-a…
Some Tweets are for everyone & others are just for people you’ve picked.
We’re now testing Twitter Circle, which lets you add up to 150 people who can see your Tweets when you want to share with a smaller crowd.
Some of you can create your own Twitter Circle beginning today!
Video captions or no captions, it’s now easier to choose for some of you on iOS, and soon on Android.
On videos that have captions available, we’re testing the option to turn captions off/on with a new “CC” button.
As promised, the ALT badge and exposed image descriptions go global today.
Over the past month, we fixed bugs and gathered feedback from the limited release group. We're ready. You're ready. Let's describe our images! Here's how: help.twitter.com/en/using-tw…
We've gotten a lot of feedback about how to improve the image description (or alt text) experience on Twitter. Today, we're launching 2 features to 3% of Twitter across Android, iOS, and Web: the public ALT badge and exposed image descriptions. 🧵 (1 of 6)
How do you say “Don’t @ me,” without saying “Don’t @ me”?
We’re experimenting with Unmentioning—a way to help you protect your peace and remove yourself from conversations—available on Web for some of you now.
We know you’ve been waiting for the option to search your DMs…
Now you can use the search bar in your inbox to find specific messages using keywords and names.
When you want to keep up with Tweets but don’t want to be overwhelmed with notification after notification after notification after...
On Android, "Tweets from people you follow" push alerts will now be silent by default. You can turn the alert sounds on in your device settings.
We know video uploads have been slow for some of you on Android. To fix that, we’ve improved how we process some of them.
Now it should be faster to share videos (720p or lower) on Android 9+ –– less waiting, more Tweeting while we work on the same for higher quality videos.
We've heard some accounts are posing as Twitter employees, sending DMs & emails. If we contact you, we'll never ask for your password & our emails will be sent from twitter.com / e.twitter.com only. More on keeping your account safe: help.twitter.com/safety-and-…
We heard you –– some of you always want to see latest Tweets first. We've switched the timeline back and removed the tabbed experience for now while we explore other options.
The Home and Latest timelines are now just a swipe away for everyone on iOS, and soon on Android and web.
Tap the ✨ icon to pin (or unpin) the Latest timeline to your Home tab for easy access.

Top Tweets first or latest Tweets first? We’re making it easier to switch between the two timelines and know which one you’re scrolling.
Now testing with some of you on iOS: swipe between "Home" and "Latest" on the Home tab to choose which Tweets you see first.
We’ve created a Topic to help you stay updated on the conflict in Ukraine. Follow the War in Ukraine Topic to add relevant Tweets from experts and on-the-ground sources to your timeline: bird.trom.tf/i/topics/1498768…
