As long as we're piling on mo.gov, this from their data policy seems to say if I legally obtain data from them, they can require the "termination" of my "using" or "distributing" it, and they may do so for "any reason". That cannot be legal.

This happens over and over again in data breaches. If you're migrating from [bad hashing algo] to [good hashing algo], hash the bad hashes with the good algo *right now*, don't wait for everyone to login and just prolong the risk
Replying to @jtdowney @toms3dp
This is correct. Users which had old-style SHA-1 hashes were updated to bcrypt hashes next time they signed in. This change was made starting in around 2016.

Reminder: we are not resting to recharge so we can do more. We are simply just resting. We are resting because it’s our divine and human right. It’s not connected to more output. I need y’all to get this.

On the potential ambiguity of "they" when it can be either singular or plural - I've been using english a long time, and I've misunderstood "they" exactly once. ("Its my kids birthday, they're gonna be 12" "Oh, you have twins?" "No, kid uses 'they'" "Ohhh! Cool. My bad.")

When I get on a train, I understand that of course local and federal law enforcement officers will conduct a "routine sweep" for, among other things, "illegal money".

On ABC this morning, former NSC Russia Director Fiona Hill confirms a detail from Stephanie Grisham's book that Russian President Putin deliberately swapped out his translator at the last second and placed a very attractive female translator in order to distract Trump. (1/2)

This Rau guy is trying the "I can't go to jail since I don't have 45 days of expenses saved up for my kids" gambit? How often does that one work?

Probably a tad late to the party, but I learned yesterday that Joni's "Free Man in Paris" is about David freaking Geffen. Did not see that coming.

!!! news. mother of all lawsuits quietly filed last month vs Facebook in Delaware. I'll explain why it avoided notice until now in a bit but Zuckerberg, Sandberg, CFO, board inc Peter Thiel and Palantir are defendants - it's a result of sealed docs between FB execs and board. /1
