I am grateful every day for @POTUS Biden and @VP Harris.
2022 is going to be really very tough and thank God we will have them as our President and Vice President.
The alternative was unthinkable.
Meanwhile, in @NYCSchools, we go back in a few days with NO TESTING BEING DONE. Politicians get tests mailed to them, while I waited online for 4.5 hours to get tested in freezing temperatures while sick. This country has its priorities ALL WRONG. How do we fix this!?!?
Just got 4 Covid-19 rapid tests today in the mail from NYS Senate Majority leadership. I'm told this is a weekly allowance. Meanwhile, scores of my constituents can't find the tests. I'm calling on Gov. Hochul and the Majority to create the same program for all New Yorkers ASAP!
In addition to sorely needed testing changes to the reopening plan, at the very least @NYCSchools should distribute enough N95, KN95, and KF94 masks for all students and staff prior to walking into school buildings next Monday.
My child’s school just changed their mask policy—now students, teachers, and staff must wear N95, KN95, or KF94 masks. Cloth masks are no longer acceptable.
Counties are overwhelmed w/ lines that stretch for miles, @GovRonDeSantis said FL will not open state run testing sites, @HealthyFla has basically declared the pandemic is over, and FL has over 46K COVID cases today. It’s every man/woman for themselves, because leadership is MIA.
What the city COULD do if @NYCMayor@uft gave a damn:
- test ALL kids and staff w/ pcrs before return
- provide kn95s to all
- provide a temporary remote option for families that choose it
- test all kids and staff weekly
- upgrade ventilation - especially in cafeterias
Curious how those magical rapid tests sent home in book bags are going to be effective when school staff and students find out about PCR results 5 days after testing positive #magic#epicfail#nothowitworks#covid#nycdoe
If you reopen NYC schools without baseline testing
➡️when your positivity rate for kids = 24% yesterday ➡️& rose in the last 3 days, even as # of tests *increased* over those days (see👇in #2)
➡️all while your hospitals are already overflowing
you are Stark Raving Mad
New York City — exhausted, beleaguered and riddled with coronavirus thanks to the Omicron variant — remains officially open. But as Year 2 of the pandemic makes way for Year 3, the city is operating at half speed simply because so many people are sick.

So @NYCMayor and @NYCSchools and @UFT just aren’t going to require that staff and students get tested before returning on Jan 3?
Cool cool cool cool cool. No doubt no doubt no doubt.
My sister had an appointment today for a COVID test, but the COVID testing place is now closed because everyone working there got COVID. No joke.
This is where we are now.
And, this is such a fake image of how students actually line up. I actually see no social distancing on line up, in lunch rooms or when they sit in classroom clusters less than 3 ft from each other (with substandard masks.) #Schools#COVIDisAirborne
