After eight infants died, 3.3 million pillows were recalled. Guns are the leading cause of death among American children, but for 40 years, a special exemption from regulation by the CPSC has prevented the government from overseeing firearms like every other consumer product. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

In 2005, the gun lobby took this special exemption further by passing PLCAA to provide broad immunity from all civil lawsuits for manufacturers and dealers. With immunity from the law, gun makers can ignore downstream impacts of their business practices. thedailybeast.com/how-gunmakโ€ฆ

I was just thinking about this. I have this lounger for my baby and I have a 15 yr old in a school that had to request extra on-site security from the local police because of a threat made by abother student.
