Like there were reservations at MAYDAN available for TODAY when I was making plans earlier today. Unthinkable pre-pandemic.

Progressive media nonprofit @MorePerfectUS (staffed by a lot of Bernie 2020 and @nowthisnews alums) just put out this video calling on Biden to issue pardons for nonviolent marijuana offenders, feat. a number of current and formerly incarcerated individuals like @weldon_angelos.
EXCLUSIVE: President Biden promised to free people like Parker Coleman, who's serving an outrageous 60-year sentence for nonviolent weed charges. A year into office, nothing has happened. We spoke to Coleman and others locked in federal prison who want Biden keep his word.

A spokesperson for @AscendHoldings just reached out to me to say this about the @nypost’s story on the MedMen lawsuit against NY Gov @KathyHochul: “…These allegations are groundless and absolutely false.”
Replying to @natsfert @nypost
Hochul attended a fundraiser in December that was also attended by an Ascend exec. The Post does not report what interaction they had at the event, but says Hochul aids met w/other Ascend execs two days later. Hochul's offices says the meetings never happened.

Omg I’ve been waiting years for this! Women are 51% of the population. IMHO, news about women does NOT need to be relegated to a separate sub-publication or vertical. Just put it in all the verticals that already exist! Glad the @washingtonpost is finally doing this 👏👏
👋Some professional news: We’re moving! To better infuse our coverage of gender and identity with @washingtonpost, we’ve made a new home at washingtonpost.com/gender-id…. Here’s what this means 👇 (1/6). washingtonpost.com/gender-id…

As someone who covers climate change for a living, it’s really easy to wear shit-colored glasses (as Matt would say). Spending an afternoon with Bellingham’s guerrilla planter reminded me that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, even if we don’t see it just yet.
Fun piece on a guerrilla tree planter in Bellingham, Wash. by @julialwashere: “I’m a big advocate for democracy, but I feel like we’re a little behind the times as far as working out some of our problems." cascadiadaily.com/news/2022/…

Am I the only reporter who feels like @JoeBiden's PR solution to calling a journalist a stupid son of a bitch was .... to buy ice cream? Honestly if my IG feed is to be believed, it has worked.

We’re pleased to endorse @RepNancyMace's States Reform Act. Like so many in this country, we believe it’s time to reform the nation’s cannabis policy and Amazon is committed to helping lead the effort. forbes.com/sites/willyakowic…
